- Ed Lawson, Mayor of Sparks, responds to Tesla’s announcement of investing an additional $3.6 billion into expanding its Gigafactory complex, located 13 miles east of Sparks. He says they’ll be looking for some legislative help in the future to reduce the burden on the area, not only with road and sewer infrastructure, but also mental health and social services as well.
