"There’s something that doesn’t smell right about it."

- Kris Thompson, Project Manager, Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, says there are a few people in the legislature that are talking about diverting tax money from Storey County, which after the Tesla tax abatements partially end, the county is going to make $40-50 million. He says peeling off the tax money is unfair, especially when there are many upgrades needed in the area, and the county has done its “fair share of absorbing a lot of the expense for the region as a whole” and pumps “billions” into Washoe County every year.
